Beth LaBerge, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a visual journalist and documentary photographer. After studying Cultural Anthropology at San Francisco State University, Beth took a leap of faith toward her love of photography and enrolled in a photojournalism program at the local city college. Photography is where she found her voice. As a staff photographer for KQED, an NPR affiliate, since 2020, Beth has engaged deeply with the communities shaping the region and she covers everything from the realities that demand attention to the moments we cherish. Her interest lies in documenting personal narratives that serve as windows into larger issues, with a specific interest in housing, climate, and women's rights.
